Pricing Structure
Everything’s getting a bit more expensive these days, and after a difficult couple of years, our river is running dry. As a result, in order to be able to keep Eat Up going we’ve had to look at our ticket pricing.
We’ve always tried to keep prices as low as possible to make Eat Up accessible – but we’re aware that some people may well be able to, and even want to, pay more – and we’d like to encourage this to help cover those who can’t.
What’s changing?
We’re introducing three different ticket types: Concession, Standard and Pay-It-Forward. All experiences will be the same (this is no VIP package nonsense) but we just want to be as transparent as possible about costs.
The middle ticket, Standard, is what we’d need everyone to spend in order to break even. We’re aware that this wouldn’t be manageable for everyone, so we’ve introduced the lower priced and a higher priced tickets to help ‘pay it forward’ to those paying less.
We also want to stress still that nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds; if you can’t manage any of those options then drop us an email at eatupcollective@gmail.com and we can sort something out.
What does the ticket price go towards?
We don’t pay ourselves for our time; all ticket spend goes to bands, venue, printing costs for posters etc. We’re also committed to filming and live-streaming our events – an amazing service provided by Exchange since COVID – and covering the staff costs and equipment hire takes a large chunk out of our budget.
We try to keep a small kitty running so that if some nights don’t break even we are covered. If this kitty ever grew large, we’d look into donating to relevant, radical causes.
There is zero judgment – Buy whichever ticket feels right for you!
Access Policy
We have a zero tolerance policy towards racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia, and any other kind of discrimination. If you experience any problems on the night please approach one of the collective in an Eat Up! badge or a member of Exchange staff.
No one is turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOT) Please contact us beforehand or let us know on the door if this is required.
If you would like to buy a Pay-It-Forward ticket for someone else please contact us.
